Receive calls from Los Angeles County jail.

For LASD prepaid calling, start with ConnectNetwork’s Los Angeles County page. Choose the right account before adding money; the account for jail calls is separate from visiting and the inmate trust account.

Follow the steps

One step at a time

Set up the account for receiving calls.

Keep the booking information and the telephone number you will use nearby.

  1. Confirm LASD custody

Check the person’s booked name, booking number and housing. A city jail, state prison or federal facility may use a different service.

Help using the LASD locator →

  2. Choose Los Angeles County

Open ConnectNetwork’s Los Angeles County CA listing, Site ID 111. Select AdvancePay Phone and follow the provider’s setup instructions.

Open the correct ConnectNetwork listing ↗

  3. Check the phone number and payment details

Use the telephone number that will receive the calls. Review current charges, payment terms and any account requirements before funding it.

Sending spending money instead? Use the deposit guide →

  4. Wait for the person to call

The person in custody places the call under the facility’s procedures. Setting up an account does not schedule a call or guarantee when one can be made.

  5. Keep visiting separate

Use IVVS to register visitors and book appointments. Adding money to a phone account does not make a visiting appointment.

  6. Want to send a message?

Check the services currently offered for this facility before paying for any messaging product. You can also send a letter using the county mail instructions.
