Three things to confirm before the trip.

Youth visiting rules differ from the adult jail. Use this building’s phone and appointment process.

  1. 01Confirm housing

    Call this building first.

There is no public youth roster. Call (707) 234-6682. The adult New World log will not show a youth here.

  2. 02Right campus

585 Low Gap, not 951 Low Gap.

Juvenile Hall is 585. Adult jail is 951. Adult Probation is 589. Pretrial is 579. County campus footer is 501. Courthouse is 100 North State Street.

  3. 03Do not use adult vendors

No GettingOut, no mycarepack, no ICSolutions jail video.

Those are adult-jail vendors. Ask intake how this youth receives visits, mail, and phone calls.

01 / Visiting

Mendocino County Juvenile Hall visiting hours.

Mendocino Probation’s own Juvenile Hall page (checked 2026-09-12) does not print visiting hours. Lake County Probation’s Juvenile Hall page — describing this same 585 Low Gap Road hall — publishes: in-person Saturdays 2:00–4:00 p.m.; Zoom twice per week (schedule below). Call intake (707) 234-6682 to confirm the window for this youth before you drive. Zoom: schedule with Intake staff, then you receive an email with a link and Meeting ID. Give staff a current email you can access. In-person: Saturdays 2:00–4:00 p.m. per Lake’s published Mendocino schedule — still call (707) 234-6682. Do not use GettingOut or the adult-jail video helpline.

Do not assume

These details are not published.

Ask the facility before setting out. Jail411 will not guess at a rule that could cause a missed visit.

  • A public searchable roster of youth in custody
  • A youth-mail envelope address on Mendocino or Lake Probation pages
  • Visitor ID, dress, and parking rules on Mendocino’s Juvenile Hall page
  • A family commissary/deposit vendor for youth
  • Mendocino-authored in-person hours (Lake’s contract page is what is published; still call intake)

02 / Mail and phone

Mendocino County Juvenile Hall mail address.

Neither Mendocino Probation’s Juvenile Hall page nor Lake’s contract page prints a youth-mail envelope address. Call intake (707) 234-6682. Physical door is 585 Low Gap Road, Ukiah, CA 95482 — do not assume that is inmate mail. Do not send youth mail to 951 Low Gap Road or use mycarepack.

    Phone calls

    How youth phone calls work

Lake Probation’s Mendocino hall page (checked 2026-09-12): during inside free time the youth may make calls. If the weather is nice, calls wait until 7:00–9:00 p.m. Questions: Intake (707) 234-6682. No incoming-call recipe is published on Mendocino’s own Juvenile Hall page. Call intake rather than the adult jail. Call (707) 234-6682 rather than (707) 463-4411. Do not open a GettingOut adult-jail account for a youth.

    Money

    Can families send money here?

Mendocino Probation Juvenile Hall pages reviewed 2026-09-12 do not name a family deposit or commissary vendor. Do not use mycarepack.com, GettingOut, or ICSolutions — those are adult-jail vendors. Call intake (707) 234-6682.

This is not the adult jail deposit or commissary process. Do not send adult-inmate funds through a youth-campus workflow.

    Common questions

    Mendocino County Juvenile Hall FAQ.

Short answers families actually search. Official pages remain the source if a rule changes.

Is Juvenile Hall the same as Mendocino County Jail?
No. Juvenile Hall is 585 Low Gap Road, intake (707) 234-6682. The adult jail is 951 Low Gap Road, (707) 463-4411. Mail, visiting, and money rules are different. Do not use GettingOut or mycarepack for a youth.
    Is there a public roster?
No. Call (707) 234-6682. The adult New World Inmate Locator will not show a youth here.
    What are the visiting hours?
Mendocino’s own page does not print hours. Lake Probation’s page for this hall: in-person Saturdays 2:00–4:00 p.m.; Zoom twice per week (schedule on that page). Call (707) 234-6682 before you drive.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
