Sheriff Publications lists the same New World log (also as http://50.230.66.240/NewWorld.InmateInquiry/Mendocino). Use the hostname first. Jail411 does not host inmate names. If the log does not show the person, call (707) 463-4411. This log is the adult jail only — it will not find a youth at 585 Low Gap Road.

Three things to confirm before the trip.
Video visits are scheduled on GettingOut. In-person hours are not printed on the live Corrections page — call before you drive to 951 Low Gap Road.
- 01Confirm custody
Search the New World booking log, or call (707) 463-4411.
Official locator: mcle1.mendocinosheriff.com/NewWorld.InmateInquiry/Mendocino. Ask whether the person can have video and on-site visits — classification, housing, or discipline can block them.
- 02Video vs on-site
Schedule video on GettingOut. Call staff only for in-house visiting.
Remote video 7 days per week at gettingout.com. Helpline 1-866-516-0115. Sheriff staff cannot help with video. They will help with on-site visiting.
- 03Right door
951 Low Gap Road — not 585, not 501.
Jail and Sheriff administration share 951 Low Gap. Juvenile Hall is 585 Low Gap. County website footers print 501 Low Gap (campus). Courthouse is 100 North State Street.
01 / Visiting
Mendocino County Jail visiting hours.
Sheriff Corrections Visiting (checked 2026-09-12): ICSolutions remote video visitation. Schedule on GettingOut (gettingout.com) from a tablet or smartphone. Video increases visiting opportunities 7 days per week. 24/7 helpline 1-866-516-0115. Technical specs for home equipment: gettingout.com or that helpline. Classification, housing unit, or disciplinary status can make someone ineligible for video. Sheriff staff can assist only with in-house, on-site visiting. They cannot assist with video visitation. In-person days, start times, and duration are not printed on the live Corrections page. Call (707) 463-4411 or Inmate Services (707) 234-2136 before you drive. Marriages are in the visiting area through glass — no physical contact.

Frequency and group size

- Not published on the live Corrections page for in-person visits. Ask staff or GettingOut for the video slot length.
- Not published on the live Corrections Visiting accordion. Marriage ceremonies: only the officiant and the person marrying the incarcerated person may enter; everyone is subject to search; no property exchanged; glass between the couple.
- 951 Low Gap Road, Ukiah. Sheriff administration is adjacent in the same building. Beginning December 1, 2025 the Ukiah Administration Building front office closes 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. for lunch and is closed to the public every second and fourth Friday — that is the admin counter, not a substitute for calling about visiting.

Mailing address
Do not send cash or money orders in the mail. Do not send youth mail here. Do not send adult-jail mail to 585 Low Gap, 589 Low Gap (Adult Probation), 579 Low Gap (Pretrial), or Parlin Fork camp.
- Follow the Sheriff Friends & Family Communication flyer (PDF linked from Corrections, November 2025 uploads path) for what may be mailed
- Cash or money orders sent through the mail (Corrections Money & Property: will not be accepted)
- Adult-jail mail mixed with Juvenile Hall at 585 Low Gap Road
- Mail to 501 Low Gap Road (county campus footer), 100 North State Street (courthouse), 175 S. School Street (Public Defender), or 798 North State Street (CDCR parole)
The live Corrections HTML (checked 2026-09-12) does not print a street or P.O. Box envelope address. It links “New Mail and Telephones information is here” to FF-COMMUNICATION.pdf. Open that flyer for how to address a letter. Do not assume 951 Low Gap Road is inmate mail — physical street and inmate mail often differ in this state.
Postage when someone has no money: Telephone and mail rules are in the Communication PDF. Phone/video vendor on the Visiting accordion is ICSolutions / GettingOut.

Release and property
Bail, property, and commissary pickup
Cash, certified check, money order, or bond — 2026 court schedules
Sheriff Corrections Bail (checked 2026-09-12): post the entire amount in cash, certified check, money order, or a bail bond. Personal checks are not accepted. Certified check or money order must be made out to the Court of Jurisdiction. Out-of-county warrants the same way. 2026 Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedules are linked from Corrections (PDFs dated 08/06/26) and from the court at mendocino.courts.ca.gov/forms-filing/bail-schedules. Confirm the person is still here on the New World log or (707) 463-4411. Posting a bond does not guarantee release if a probation, parole, or out-of-county hold applies. An ICE detainer alone is not a lawful California hold (Gov. Code § 7284.6). This is the process, not a bondsman directory.
Jail will not take property in; release clothing only via attorney
Jail will not accept property for any inmate. Inmates may release property excluding clothing. Only people sentenced to state prison may release all of their property. Court clothing through the attorney or Facility supervisor. Money release: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–noon and 1:00–4:15 p.m. excluding holidays; ID plus the bill being paid. Cash balance will not be handed out.
No releases 10:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m.; money-release window weekdays
Not published as a leftover-funds pickup recipe beyond the money-release window above. Ask (707) 463-4411. Releases: no releases 10:00 p.m. through 8:30 a.m. Booking can take several hours. People arrested intoxicated stay until they are no longer under the influence. Court releases usually two to four hours after return from court.
After booking
Court, a lawyer, probation, and parole.
Court, counsel, and probation are separate from the jail. State parole is a different agency. This is the process a family actually has to walk—not a directory of private bondsmen or attorneys.
