01Bail

Search first — court still posts a 2016 felony/misdemeanor schedule plus the 2026 statewide uniform schedule

Confirm the person is still here on Citizen RIMS or (209) 754-6499. Calaveras Superior Court Fees & Bail Schedules page (checked 2026-09-12) links a 2016 Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule PDF (file stamped Oct. 24, 2016, case 16-04) and the 2026 Judicial Council Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedule. Courthouse 400 Government Center Drive, (209) 754-9800. Clerks’ window Monday–Friday 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Case lookup: portal-cacalaveras.tylertech.cloud/Portal. Alternative sentencing / home detention / work program: CCP 2025–26 plan — Probation with Sheriff and Angels Camp PD identify jail inmates who qualify; work program is jail-based (litter, brush, light construction) overseen by a Correctional Officer. Classification details beyond that plan are not on the Sheriff HTML — call (209) 754-6499. Posting a bond does not guarantee release if a probation, parole, or out-of-county hold applies. An ICE detainer alone is not a lawful California hold (Gov. Code § 7284.6). This is the process, not a bondsman directory.

02Property

Visiting page: extras over three photographs go to property. Front counter will not take money, gifts, messages, or mail — only prescription medication labeled with the inmate’s name. A public property-release window is not on the reviewed Detention HTML. Call (209) 754-6499.

Court, a lawyer, probation, and parole.

Court, counsel, and probation are separate from the jail. State parole is a different agency. This is the process a family actually has to walk—not a directory of private bondsmen or attorneys.

03 County supervision

Probation is not parole

A probation hold can block release after bail. Official Probation page: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., fax (209) 754-4913, Chief Kim Craddock. SB 36 page: Probation is the local public agency that performs pretrial assessments and uses the Public Safety Assessment (PSA) tool. CCP 2025–26: Deputy Probation Officers supervise PRCS, 1170(h)/Mandatory Supervision, high-risk adult felony, and domestic-violence caseloads (capped at 30); a Sheriff’s Corporal and Deputy are housed at Probation and the DRC. Alternative sentencing (home detention / electronic monitoring / work program) is identified jointly with the Sheriff and Angels Camp PD.

Calaveras does not publish a local juvenile hall. Juvenile Probation is this same 23 E. Saint Charles / Hwy 49 door, (209) 754-6466. Call before you drive anywhere for a youth.

Clear information.
Clear boundaries.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
