The Sheriff publishes no live name-search roster. Call (530) 934-6428 and ask if the person is in custody. The jail site has historically had an Arrest Reports / recent-bookings section; that is not a current-population search. countyofglenn.net was Cloudflare-blocked on 2026-09-12.

Before you leave home

Three things to confirm before the trip.

Call the jail before you drive. Visiting day depends on housing group, and the live county site was not reachable from this research host on 2026-09-12.

  1. 01Confirm custody

    Call (530) 934-6428.

There is no live inmate name search. Ask if the person is still at Glenn County Jail and which visiting group they are in — males, females, protective custody, or administrative separation use different days.

  2. 02Match the day

Males Tue/Wed, females Monday, PC Thursday.

Jail welcome page (archived 2024-02-23): males Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.; protective custody Thursdays 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.; females Mondays 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. Administrative separation: staff sets the time — call.

  3. 03Bring ID

    Government photo ID. Two visitors.

Handbook: visitors 18+ with valid picture ID. Under 18 must come with a parent or legal guardian and legal documentation. Only two visitors in the visiting room at one time. Two 30-minute visits per week.

01 / Visiting

Glenn County Jail visiting hours.

Jail welcome page (Wayback 2024-02-23, same hours on 2023-08 through 2024-02 captures): Male inmates — Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Protective custody — Thursdays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Female inmates — Mondays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Administrative separation — call (530) 934-6428 for the designated time. Handbook effective 04/24/2023: two 30-minute visits per week; if the first visit runs past 30 minutes it counts as the second. Video visits may count toward that weekly time. Non-professional visits are not allowed while on administrative separation for discipline. Call (530) 934-6428 before you drive. countyofglenn.net was Cloudflare-blocked on 2026-09-12. Housing moves can change the visiting day. The 2023 handbook also splits male days by housing group (Tuesday Norteño-associated, Wednesday Sureño-associated, Thursday C-Pod 1:00–4:00 p.m.) — the public jail page uses the broader male / PC / female labels above. Ask which group applies.

Do not assume

These details are not published.

Ask the jail before setting out. Jail411 will not guess at a rule that could cause a missed visit.

  • A live Glenn Sheriff inmate name-search roster
  • A VINE registration link on the Sheriff jail pages reviewed
  • Named day-room phone vendor (collect/prepaid hours are published; the company is not)
  • Labeled visitor parking, visitor entrance, and last-mile directions beyond 141 S. Lassen Street
  • Weekend in-person visiting hours
  • Current Glenn County Jail bed capacity
  • Whether the 2023 handbook Orland Branch courthouse at 821 South Street is still in use (court Locations page lists only Willows)
Ask the visiting desk

Phone calls

Glenn County Jail phone calls collect or prepaid.

Day-room telephones run 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Calls are collect or prepaid. A PIN is required; using another person's PIN can be a crime (Penal Code § 530.5). The handbook does not name the phone vendor. Video visits are GTL / ViaPath, not the day-room phones.

  1. 01Hours

    8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. in the day room.

Telephones are in each day room. Staff may monitor or record calls. Abuse can end phone privileges.

  2. 02PIN

    Use only that person's PIN.

Using another incarcerated person's PIN can bring discipline and a Penal Code § 530.5 charge.

  3. 03Video is separate

Schedule video at GTL / ViaPath.

https://glenncountyca.gtlvisitme.com/ or call the jail office technician. Video may count toward the two weekly visits.

Release and property

Bail, property, and commissary pickup

01Bail

2026 court bail schedule + call the jail

Glenn Superior Court publishes a 2026 Jail Bail Schedule (effective Jan. 1, 2026) at glenn.courts.ca.gov/forms-filing/fee-bail-schedules. Ask the jail at (530) 934-6428 about posting. Posting a bond does not guarantee release if a probation hold, parole hold, or out-of-county warrant applies. An ICE detainer alone is not a lawful California hold (Gov. Code § 7284.6). This is the process, not a bondsman directory.

02Personal property

Keys after 24 hours; clothing at release

Handbook: within the first 24 hours of booking you can fill out a property-release form for money and keys. After 24 hours, the only property release is keys. Clothing and personal property are stored and returned at release unless the person is sentenced to state prison — then someone has 7 days after transport to pick property up or it is disposed of.

03After release

Named pickup within 7 days

If the person leaves before a commissary order arrives, fill out a property-release form naming who will pick it up. Pickup within 7 days of delivery or it is disposed of.

After booking

Court, a lawyer, probation, and parole.

Court, counsel, and probation are separate from the jail. State parole is a different agency. This is the process a family actually has to walk—not a directory of private bondsmen or attorneys.

01 Willows courthouse

526 West Sycamore Street

Criminal / juvenile delinquency clerk is (530) 934-6446, option 2, fax (530) 934-6728. If you cannot afford an attorney, ask the court to appoint one at arraignment. Clerk’s office Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Building hours 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Administration (530) 934-6382, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Public portal: portal-caglenn.tylertech.cloud/Portal. No account required to search. The court’s current Locations page lists only the Willows Main Courthouse. The 2023 jail handbook also listed an Orland Branch at 821 South Street; that building is not on the court’s 2026 locations page — use the case record and 526 West Sycamore Street unless the court tells you otherwise.

(530) 934-6446

02 Appointed counsel

Ask at arraignment

If you do not have an attorney and cannot afford one, you may ask the court to appoint one at arraignment. The court appoints the Public Defender. Eligibility follows financial guidelines.

Last published office on the county Public Defender contact page (Wayback 2022-09-26): 332 W. Sycamore Street, Willows, CA 95988, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Ask at first appearance if that door has moved.

(530) 330-7084

03 County supervision

Probation is not parole

A probation hold can block release after bail. Youth detention is not this building — Glenn youth who must be detained go to Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Chief (530) 934-6672. Fax (530) 934-6468. Next to the Sheriff at 543 West Oak Street, not the jail.

(530) 934-6416

04 State parole, not county

Chico or Red Bluff parole

CDCR lists a Chico Parole Office at 1370 Ridgewood Drive, Ste. 14, Chico, CA 95973, (530) 895-4534. Red Bluff is 10 Gilmore Road, Suite C, (530) 529-7700. No Glenn-County street office is on the Northern Region directory updated 9/11/2026. State parole is not Glenn County Probation. Report to the office named in the release papers.

Custody information(530) 934-6428 →

Clear information.
Clear boundaries.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
