Public roster

Jail line / VINE — no live roster

The Sheriff publishes no live inmate name-search roster. Call (530) 458-0205 and ask if the person is in custody and which visiting group they are in. VINE (877) 411-5588 or vinelink.com can also report current custody status (name or alias, plus DOB / arrest date / middle initial / offender number if needed) and send release alerts. VINE updates from the jail booking system about every 15 minutes. It is not a substitute for calling the jail the day you visit.

Release alerts

VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday)

Sheriff VINE pages (checked 2026-09-12): register with a 4-digit PIN and a reachable phone number. Alerts for advance release, escape, any release, return after escape, transfer, or unsupervised custody. Calls retry every 30 minutes for 24 hours until the PIN is entered; answering-machine messages still retry every two hours. Caller ID may show “unknown” — do not block it. Phone (877) 411-5588.

Before you leave home

Three things to confirm before the trip.

Call visiting before you drive. An appointment must be made at least one day prior, and the day depends on housing group.

  1. 01Confirm custody

Call (530) 458-0205 or use VINE.

There is no live inmate name search. Ask if the person is still at Colusa County Jail and which visiting group they are in — female/male and general population, maximum, high-profile, or administrative separation use different days.

  2. 02Book the visit

Call visiting (530) 458-0649 at least one day prior.

Jail Visiting Hours page: an appointment must be made at least one day prior. Same page: government-issued photo ID; under 18 with a parent or legal guardian; children may not be left unattended in the lobby or visiting room.

  3. 03Match the day

Hours follow sex and housing group.

Female GP is Wednesday and Friday 3:00–4:00 p.m.; male GP is Wednesday and Friday 9:00 a.m.–noon and 1:00–3:00 p.m. Maximum, high-profile, and administrative separation use other windows listed below. Two 30-minute visits per week.

  4. 04Leave phones in the car

No mobile devices, purses, or revealing clothing.

Wireless devices are banned while visiting (Penal Code § 4575). Anyone released from this jail in the last 90 days may not visit. A felony conviction or time served in a state prison bars entry to the grounds (Penal Code § 4571). A violation is a 30-day ban.

01 / Visiting

Colusa County Jail visiting hours.

Jail Visiting Hours page (checked 2026-09-12): two 30-minute visits per week. Government-issued photo ID. Under 18 with a parent or legal guardian. Appointment at least one day prior at (530) 458-0649. Female: administrative separation Tue/Thu 12:00–1:00 p.m.; general population Wed/Fri 3:00–4:00 p.m.; high-profile Tue/Sat 10:00 a.m.–noon; maximum Mon/Thu 3:00–4:00 p.m. Male: administrative separation Tue 1:00–4:00 p.m. and Thu 9:00 a.m.–noon; general population Wed/Fri 9:00 a.m.–noon and 1:00–3:00 p.m.; high-profile Tue/Sat 8:00–10:00 a.m.; maximum Mon/Thu 1:00–3:00 p.m. Call (530) 458-0649 before you drive. Housing moves can change the visiting group. The jail and Sheriff share 929 Bridge Street — that is not the Civil Unit / Probation / clerk counter at 532 Oak Street.

Money and commissary

How to send money to Colusa County Jail.

The published deposit route is Access Corrections / lobby kiosk. Confirm the person is still housed here and keep the booking number ready before depositing.

  1. 01

Sheriff’s Office lobby kiosk 24/7: cash, credit card, or debit card (Bail, Monies & Property page, checked 2026-09-12). You need the incarcerated person's name or ID number.

  2. 02

Web: the Sheriff page writes accesscorrection.com; the live Access Corrections site is accesscorrections.com (checked 2026-09-12). Phone (800) 546-6283.

  3. 03

Money orders through the mail, deposited when received. Do not mail cash or personal checks.

Release and property

Bail, property, and commissary pickup

01Bail

Cash, cashier’s check, money order, or licensed bond

Sheriff Bail, Monies & Property page: post bail with U.S. currency, cashier’s checks, money orders, or a bail bond agency. Colusa Superior Court publishes a 2026 Bail Schedule (https://www.colusa.courts.ca.gov/system/files/forms-and-filings/2026-ubps.pdf). Posting a bond does not guarantee release if a probation hold, parole hold, or out-of-county warrant applies. An ICE detainer alone is not a lawful California hold (Gov. Code § 7284.6). This is the process, not a bondsman directory.

02Personal property

No public drop-offs except trial clothing

Incarcerated persons cannot accept property from the public while incarcerated. Property will not be received over the counter or through the mail (trial clothing excluded). They can only delegate small property. No clothing will be released. Medically oriented items may be considered. Call (530) 458-0205.

03After release

Balance paid by check

Any monies remaining in the account are returned to the incarcerated person by check upon release (public page).

After booking

Court, a lawyer, probation, and parole.

Court, counsel, and probation are separate from the jail. State parole is a different agency. This is the process a family actually has to walk—not a directory of private bondsmen or attorneys.

01 Clerk / criminal

532 Oak Street (Dept. 2)

Most criminal calendars are Dept. 2 at 532 Oak Street (Tuesday felony/misdemeanor and arraignments; Wednesday attorney calendars). In-custody arraignments are as needed — call option 4 after 9:00 a.m. Walk-in court is Tuesday; check in at 532 Oak Street before 12:30 p.m. No shorts, tank tops, or bare feet. There is no incarcerated-person visiting at the courthouse. Building hours Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at both 547 Market Street (Dept. 1) and 532 Oak Street (Dept. 2 / clerk). Criminal division option 4. Fax (530) 458-2230. Telephone payments (833) 460-8565.

The court’s Online Calendar Portal is temporarily unavailable until further notice (banner checked 2026-09-12). Call (530) 458-5149 option 4 for case, warrant, fine, and hearing information. Calendars for non-confidential matters are listed by department on the court site when posted.

(530) 458-5149

02 Appointed counsel

Ask at arraignment — no PD office

If you do not have an attorney and cannot afford one, ask the court to appoint one at arraignment. Colusa County does not have a Public Defenders Office. If you are eligible, the court appoints counsel and gives you that attorney’s contact information.

No county Public Defender door is published. Use arraignment at Dept. 2, 532 Oak Street, and the criminal clerk (530) 458-5149 option 4.

(530) 458-5149

03 County supervision

Probation is not parole

A probation hold can block release after bail. Youth booking is this office, not the jail lobby. Youth who must be detained may go to Marysville — not 929 Bridge Street.

Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Fax (530) 458-2895. Day Reporting Center is 320 5th Street. Juvenile officers (530) 458-0699 and (530) 458-0665.

(530) 458-5871

04 State parole, not county

Chico or Fairfield parole

CDCR’s Northern Region directory (updated 9/11/2026) does not list a Colusa street office. Nearest published units include Chico, 1370 Ridgewood Drive, Ste. 14, Chico, CA 95973, (530) 895-4534, and Vallejo/Woodland at 2320 Courage Drive, Ste. 103, Fairfield, CA 94533, (707) 428-2250. State parole is not Colusa County Probation. Report to the office named in the release papers.

Clear information.
Clear boundaries.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
