Jail records line — no live roster
The Sheriff publishes no live name-search roster. Call (530) 623-8124 and ask if the person is still at the Correctional Facility and which housing unit they are in — Unit A, B, C, D, and Holding use different days and hours. Jail411 does not host inmate names.

Register with VINE ↗Before you leave home
Three things to confirm before the trip.
Visits are by housing unit. Call the jail before you drive and ask which unit they are in — days and evening windows differ. Contact visits are not authorized.
- 01Confirm custody

Posted inmate handbook (May 2023, still on trinitycounty.org 2026-09-12): visitation may be changed or cancelled at any time. Staff will start late when jail business requires it. On busy days visitors may be asked to shorten the visit so others can go.
- 03Bring ID only
Valid picture ID. Leave bags in the car.
Handbook: valid picture ID; record checks may be run. Custody manual (2026): state, military, tribal, or other government ID — considered valid 90 days after expiration if the visitor has proof of renewal. Leave personal items except car keys and ID outside the secure area. No cameras, cell phones, food, or drinks in visiting. Recently released from this jail: 30-day wait. Active parolees may not visit (Penal Code § 4571).

The 2026 custody manual also says visiting hours will be posted in the public area of the facility.

Release and property
Bail, property, and commissary pickup
Call the jail — no public bail-schedule PDF
Call the jail at (530) 623-8124 for charges and the amount. Custody manual: account funds may be used for self-bail with a signed authorization; visitor cashier deposits are cash or money order. Trinity Superior Court pages reviewed 2026-09-12 do not publish a jail bail-schedule PDF. First appearance is usually within two days of arrest excluding weekends and holidays, typically in the afternoon (inmate handbook). Posting a bond does not guarantee release if a probation hold, parole hold, or out-of-county warrant applies. An ICE detainer alone is not a lawful California hold (Gov. Code § 7284.6; custody Reception policy). This is the process, not a bondsman directory.
Call the jail cashier
Custody manual: personal property is inventoried at booking. Family release of funds to a person not in custody requires the incarcerated person’s signed cash-withdrawal form and the recipient’s valid driver’s license or state ID at the cashier. Detailed clothing-release steps for families are not on the public Sheriff pages. Call (530) 623-8124. Property is handled at the jail, not at 101 Memorial Drive.
Balance paid to them at release — call (530) 623-8124
Custody manual: cashier zeros the account at release and pays remaining money to the person. Family leftover-commissary pickup steps are not on the public Sheriff pages. Call (530) 623-8124.
After booking
Court, a lawyer, probation, and parole.
Court, counsel, and probation are separate from the jail. State parole is a different agency. This is the process a family actually has to walk—not a directory of private bondsmen or attorneys.
11 Court Street
Inmate handbook: new arrests usually go to court within two days (weekends and holidays do not count); first court date is usually in the afternoon. Daily calendars are Department 1 and Department 2 PDFs. Pay fines at trinity.epay-it.com or in person at Court Services. Court collections mail P.O. Box 1258. The criminal-division page also lists county Collections at P.O. Box 1446 or in person at 333 Tom Bell Road (Probation/Collections) — that is not the jail. All court divisions and Collections Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Jury Services closed 12:00–1:00 p.m. Family Law Office by appointment only.
Online calendars: trinity.courts.ca.gov/online-services/court-calendars. This 11 Court Street building is the courthouse — not the jail at 701 Tom Bell Road and not Probation at 333 Tom Bell Road.
Ask at first appearance
Trinity Superior Court criminal page: if you cannot afford to hire an attorney, ask the judge at your first appearance (the arraignment) to appoint one. The judge considers income, expenses, and other factors and may order reimbursement of appointed-counsel fees.
Trinity’s April 16, 2025 JJRBG plan lists Public Defender Ian Collins, ian.collins@rswslaw.com, (530) 241-1611. The firm contact page does not publish a Weaverville street office. No county Public Defender department is on the Trinity staff directory (checked 2026-09-12). Ask at first appearance at 11 Court Street.
Probation is not parole
A probation hold can block release after bail. This office is not the jail (701 Tom Bell) and not a juvenile hall. Youth who must be detained are contracted out — Tehama JDF is the published consistent network.
