Adult jail visiting hoursBefore you leave home
Three things to confirm before the trip.
Youth visiting rules differ from the adult jail. Use this building’s phone and appointment process.
- 01Confirm housing
Call this building first.
There is no public youth roster. Call (530) 527-4052. The adult Current Inmates list will not show a youth here.
- 02Right door
1790 Walnut, not 1740 or 502 Oak.
JDF is 1790 Walnut Street. Courthouse is 1740 Walnut. Probation admin is 1840 Walnut. Adult jail is 502 Oak Street.
- 03Do not use adult vendors
No Access Corrections, no ICSolutions jail video.
Those are adult-jail vendors. Ask Probation how this youth receives visits, mail, and phone calls.
01 / Visiting
Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility visiting hours.
The public JDF page checked 2026-09-12 does not publish day-and-hour visiting windows. Glenn County Probation (a contract county) tells families to call (530) 527-4052 for visiting. Use that published Probation number and ask staff for the current window and who may visit. Call (530) 527-4052, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Do not use the adult-jail visitation form or jailvisitation@tehamaso.org.

Contraband and items
- Not published on the reviewed JDF page. Do not bring adult-jail commissary, Access Corrections receipts, or Oak Street visiting paperwork.
- JDF policy table of contents (published on tehama.gov) includes visiting and correspondence chapters; the public extract is a table of contents, not the hour-by-hour rule. Walnut Street campus is tobacco- and smoke-free (Resolution #2016-68 cited in that TOC).
- No youth video-visit vendor is published on the JDF page. Do not use ICSolutions Tehama County Jail video — that is the adult jail.

Who can be held at this JDF
Youth alleged to have committed crimes are referred to Probation through incarceration or out of custody. The JDF houses Tehama youth and, by contract, youth from Siskiyou, Plumas, Lassen, Glenn, Lake, and Trinity. After DJJ closure (SB 823) this JDF also houses Secure Youth Treatment Facility (SYTF) youth. Adult jail booking at 502 Oak Street is a different system.

Meals on Wheels is a cooperative program with the Community Action Agency; meals cooked at the JDF feed about 90 seniors a day in Tehama County. That is a facility program, not a visiting meal.
