Adult jail visiting hoursBefore you leave home
Three things to confirm before the trip.
Youth visiting rules differ from the adult jail. Use this building’s phone and appointment process.
- 01Confirm housing
Call Probation first.
There is no public youth roster. Call (707) 464-7215. CitizenRIMS will not show a youth at Humboldt or Shasta.
- 02Right door
Not 650 Fifth Street, not 1115 Williams Drive as a hall.
Booking/admin is Probation 450 H Street #202. Humboldt Juvenile Hall is 2006 Harrison, Eureka. YOC at 1115 Williams Drive is a community program, not detention visiting.
- 03Do not use adult vendors
No Access Corrections for youth.
Access Corrections and the 650 Fifth Street kiosk are the adult jail. Ask Probation how this youth receives visits, mail, and phone calls.
01 / Visiting
Del Norte Juvenile Hall visiting hours.
Official Juvenile Detention page (checked 2026-09-12): families and attorneys request a facilitated visit through Probation’s Visitation Request Form (https://forms.gle/2ASVGX1G5wFw6h6bA). If the youth is at Humboldt County Juvenile Hall, Humboldt Detention Services (checked 2026-09-12) publishes visiting Wednesdays 5:00–6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 12:15–1:15 p.m. at 2006 Harrison, Eureka, (707) 445-7644 — other times only through the assigned probation officer. Shasta County Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility hours are on Shasta Probation’s JRF page; confirm with Del Norte Probation which hall before you drive. Fill out the Del Norte Probation Visitation Request Form, and call (707) 464-7215. Do not use adult-jail visiting at 650 Fifth Street or Access Corrections.
Call to schedule (707) 464-7215Approved family first
Family/guardians and attorneys use the Del Norte Visitation Request Form. Confirm with the assigned probation officer.
- Humboldt Detention Services (if that is the hall): all visitors may be subject to a pat-down and/or metal detector. Ask Probation for Shasta rules.
- Picture identification is the usual youth-hall rule; Del Norte’s public Juvenile Detention page does not spell out ID. Ask (707) 464-7215.
- Not published as a Del Norte in-county hall schedule — detention is contracted out. Humboldt’s published windows apply only if Probation confirms Humboldt Juvenile Hall.
Contraband and items
- Humboldt Juvenile Hall (if that is the hall): no purses, handbags, knives/weapons, alcohol/controlled substances, food/drink, cell phones, cameras, pets, tobacco, matches/lighters, or other items staff deem a threat. Do not bring adult-jail commissary.
- Follow the hall that actually holds the youth. Do not bring gifts except as that hall allows (Humboldt: Christmas/birthdays, inspected).
- No Del Norte youth video-visit vendor is published. Do not use a county-jail video account.

02 / Mail and phone
Del Norte Juvenile Hall mail address.
Del Norte’s Juvenile Detention page does not publish a youth mailing address because youth are held at Humboldt or Shasta. Call (707) 464-7215 and ask which hall, then use that hall’s mail rule. Humboldt Juvenile Hall mail is handled at 2006 Harrison, Eureka, CA 95501, (707) 445-7644 — not 650 Fifth Street. Do not send detained-youth mail to the Youth Opportunity Center at 1115 Williams Drive.
Mailing address
- Letters to the hall that actually holds the youth — ask Probation which one
- Adult-jail mail or Access Corrections at 650 Fifth Street
- Pelican Bay P.O. Box 7500
- Youth Opportunity Center at 1115 Williams Drive as a detention mail drop
Humboldt Detention Services (if that hall): mail opened in the youth’s presence to check for contraband; not read unless a court order or security threat. Three letters per week at no postage from the hall.
Postage: Ask the assigned hall. Humboldt: three letters per week at no cost; additional at the detainee’s cost.
How youth phone calls work
Official page: after arrest, booking is at Del Norte Probation and the parent/guardian is notified. Humboldt Detention Services (if that is the hall): up to three calls at admission (parent/guardian/relative, attorney, employer); after that, earned collect calls. Humboldt collect vendor line 1-877-650-4249. Incoming calls except attorney are not received. Ask Probation which hall. Do not open an adult-jail phone account. Call (707) 464-7215 rather than the adult jail. Do not open an Access Corrections account for a youth.
Money
Can families send money here?
Reviewed Del Norte Probation Juvenile Detention pages do not publish a family commissary or deposit vendor for youth. Do not use Access Corrections, 866-394-0490, or the 650 Fifth Street lobby kiosk — those are adult-jail deposits.
This is not the adult jail deposit or commissary process. Do not send adult-inmate funds through a youth-campus workflow.

Where a Del Norte youth actually goes
Official Juvenile Detention page: someone under 18 arrested in Del Norte County is transported to and booked at Del Norte County Probation (450 H Street #202). After booking and parent/guardian notification, the youth may be transported to Humboldt County Juvenile Hall or Shasta County Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility, or released to a parent or guardian. Adult jail booking at 650 Fifth Street is a different system.
Facility inventory still lists Del Norte Juvenile Hall at 1115 Williams Drive, capacity 44. Official YOC page uses that same street and (707) 464-7243 for a 12–17 community program — not secure detention. Use Probation’s contract description, not the old hall label, when deciding where to drive.

Official education page ↗Medical consents follow the hall that holds the youth

Not published as a Del Norte in-county hall meal rule. Ask the assigned hall.
