Find and confirm a person
Search the Indiana public jail portal with the legal name, spelling variants and birth date. Save the result, booking number, charges, bond, housing and next court date. If no result appears, call 260-636-6404 and ask whether booking is processing, release occurred or custody moved.

No-result and transfer troubleshooting
A no-result screen does not prove release. Recheck MyCase, register for VINE alerts and ask the jail about spelling, booking delay and transfers. Use IDOC only after state transfer, BOP only after federal prison transfer and ICE only when an immigration transfer is plausible.

Use the right contact
Call the jail at 260-636-6404; call the Sheriff’s main office at 260-636-2182. The current Jail Commander is Lieutenant Jenny Cummins and the listed jail nurse is Pam Gardner, LPN. Court records go to the Clerk at 260-636-2736, not to jail staff.

Visiting
Verify visiting mode, identification, minors and exceptions before travel.
Approval and scheduling
Confirm the housing block first, then schedule at least 24 hours ahead through 866-340-7879. The inmate may list 5 approved visitors and may change the list once every 180 days. Only listed visitors are admitted; schedules can change without advance notice.

Housing-based schedule
A, B, C, F and G blocks publish Monday-Thursday 8:30-11:00 a.m., 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:30-10:00 p.m.; last starts are 10:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. D, E and H publish Sunday 2:00-6:20 p.m. and 7:30-9:40 p.m.; Friday has no visits and Saturday trustee visits are 1:00-3:00 p.m.
ID, minors and belongings
Every adult needs U.S. government photo ID. A minor must be immediate family, appear on the approved list, come with an approved adult and bring proof such as a birth certificate or adoption papers; age 15 or older also requires U.S. government ID. Visitors may not bring weapons, tobacco, electronics, purses, backpacks, food, drinks or cameras.

Professional, clergy and exceptions
Visits are non-contact. Staff may search entrants, enforce proper dress and orderly conduct, and end a visit. Professional visitors must prove authorization and generally may visit 8:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m., but not after 10:00 p.m.; clergy rules are live but dated effective 2003, so reconfirm.

Cancellations and failed sessions
If the housing block changed, the appointment vanished or staff cancel operations, call 260-636-6404 before driving. For the scheduling account, call 866-340-7879 and save the confirmation number, screenshots and charge record. Local pages do not publish refund or failed-session rules.

Communication and money
Keep calls, video, messages, personal mail, legal mail, books, photos and packages task-specific.
Outgoing voice calls
Phones are available in housing blocks for outgoing calls, and commissary lists calling cards, but the current voice provider, account types and rates are not named. Do not use 866-340-7879 as proof of a voice product; ask 260-636-6404 for the current voice provider before funding.

InmateSales scheduling boundary
The local schedule sends families to 866-340-7879, which CPC identifies as InmateSales video scheduling support. That verifies scheduling help, not remote availability, price or a voice product. Confirm onsite versus remote mode, device requirements and charges before purchase.

Messages and tablets
The Sheriff does not deliver routine messages. Send mail or wait for an outgoing call. No local source confirms paid messages, photos, tablets or email, so do not create or fund a vendor product merely because the same company serves visits.

Personal mail
The FAQ says letters sent through U.S. mail are delivered and directs inmate money orders to: inmate legal name, Noble County Jail, P.O. Box 22, Albion, IN 46701. Call 260-636-6404 for the exact personal-letter format, booking ID, return address and content limits before mailing.
Sources: Noble County Sheriff jail FAQs · Noble County Sheriff contact page
Legal mail
Do not assume P.O. Box 22 is the legal-mail route. Counsel should call 260-636-6404 for the destination, required “legal mail” markings, attorney-sender verification, confidential opening practice and rejection or appeal procedure. Families should not mark ordinary mail as legal.

Books and publications
Paperback books are accepted only when mailed directly from a publisher or bookstore. Hardcover books are prohibited. Before ordering, ask 260-636-6404 about quantity, used books, seller invoices, religious material, magazines, subscriptions and what happens to rejected items.

Photos, clothing and packages
No current local rule publishes photo size, number, Polaroid, greeting-card or package limits. The jail says no other property is accepted beyond verified medication and publisher-direct paperbacks. Do not send photos, clothing, hygiene items or packages until 260-636-6404 confirms the exact rule.

Deposits and money orders
For commissary, use the lobby JailATM kiosk, JailATM.com or a money order payable to the inmate mailed to Noble County Jail, P.O. Box 22, Albion, IN 46701. Do not send cash or personal checks. Confirm the legal name/ID and fees before submitting.

Commissary and indigent supplies
Commissary passes once per week and may include food, drinks, hygiene, undergarments and calling cards. People without account funds receive required hygiene and letter-writing supplies. Ask the jail about order cutoff, debt deductions, availability and release-balance method.

Health, access and safety
Route health, medication, grievance, disability and sexual-safety concerns to the responsible channel.
Medical communication
The current page lists Jail Nurse Pam Gardner, LPN. For an urgent in-custody concern, call 260-636-6404, state the person’s legal name and describe the concrete symptom without demanding protected details. Call 911 for a public emergency; 988 is community crisis support, not jail medical dispatch.

Medication and devices
Filled prescription medication may be brought in its original bottle labeled with the inmate’s name, prescriber and dosage; jail medical staff verify it. Call 260-636-6404 first for drop-off time and entrance. Glasses, devices, pharmacy refill, dental and discharge-medication rules remain unpublished.

Mental health and withdrawal
No local page publishes a family mental-health or withdrawal reporting route. For immediate risk, call 260-636-6404 and ask for the shift supervisor or medical staff; describe behavior, timing and known substances or diagnoses. Do not rely on email for an urgent safety concern.
Sources: Noble County Jail administrative staff · 988 Lifeline
Grievance and urgent escalation
The inmate should request the current grievance form and keep dates, names, copies and response deadlines. The local form, emergency track and appeal chain are not online. Families may send a concise factual concern to Jail Commander Lieutenant Jenny Cummins through 260-636-6404; an emergency belongs by phone.

ADA and communication access
Ask the jail first for an interpreter, auxiliary aid, accessible visit or other accommodation. County ADA Coordinator Zachary Smith accepts requests at 260-636-2124 ext. 6001 and zack.smith@nobleco.gov; county complaints should be filed within 60 calendar days.

Sexual safety and PREA
No local anonymous or outside PREA report route is published. For immediate danger call 260-636-6404 and request a supervisor; for outside support use RAINN. PREA standards allow third-party assistance, but confirm the jail’s current local reporting and confidentiality procedure.

Religion and clergy
The live clergy policy, effective 2003, describes staff chaplains, non-contact clergy visits and preapproval by the Jail Commander. Because the policy is old, clergy should call 260-636-2182 before travel and confirm identification, authorization, visit time and acceptable religious items.

Court, counsel and release
Separate case, counsel, bond, property, release and reentry tasks.
Court case and hearings
Use MyCase for cause number, filed charges, bond order and hearing date. The Noble County Clerk is at 101 North Orange Street, Albion, IN 46701, 260-636-2736, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. A jail estimate is not a court notice.

Counsel and legal help
To request appointed counsel, the defendant should ask the court at the next appearance or write to the court. Noble County Public Defender is at 109 N. York St., Ste. 2800, Albion, IN 46701, 260-636-6688, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; family members should expect case confidentiality.

Bond and payment
The linked 2023 local rules describe screening and presumptive release, but Indiana approved amended Noble County rules on September 18, 2026. Use the current MyCase order. Before payment, call the Clerk at 260-636-2736 and jail at 260-636-6404 for amount, type, tender, fees, hours and holds.

Property pickup
Personal property is stored when someone books in, but third-party pickup is not published. Ask 260-636-6404 whether the inmate must sign authorization, what photo ID the recipient needs, pickup hours and entrance, and how property is handled after transfer or release.
Sources: What you can bring to a Noble County inmate · Noble County Sheriff contact page
Release and holds
The Sheriff cannot release someone for a funeral or other reason without a court order. For expected release, confirm the court order in MyCase, then ask 260-636-6404 about holds, processing, exit door, clothing, medicine, documents, money and pickup timing. VINE is an alert, not a guarantee.

Records and custodians
For case records use MyCase or the Clerk at 260-636-2736. For jail, incident or booking records, ask the Sheriff’s business office at 260-636-2182 for the current custodian, form, fee, ID, delivery method and exemptions. Keep the request narrow and save the response date.

Travel and local needs
Plan parking, transit, food, lodging and community support without inventing a final path.
Arrival, entrance and parking
Navigate to 210 South 7th Street, Albion, IN 46701, but call 260-636-2182 before travel because the Sheriff does not publish the exact public entrance, named visitor lot, accessible drop-off, after-hours path or overflow rules. Do not use the historic Old Jail Museum as the destination.

Noble Transit planning
Noble Transit is countywide curb-to-curb demand response for all ages. Call 260-347-4226 or 866-872-6778 at least 48 hours ahead for an in-county trip and request 210 South 7th Street, Albion, IN 46701. Confirm the jail entrance, return trip, fare, accessibility aid and whether release pickup can be accepted.

Seven service-date checks
For October 1-7, 2026, official materials support weekday demand-response planning on October 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7; October 3 and 4 are outside published Monday-Friday service. Current web hours and the 2020 brochure conflict, so every date still requires a phone reservation.

Finding someone held here
Use the county system for a recent arrest. A state corrections search covers people in state custody. It generally will not list someone booked into a county jail this week. Bookings, bail, release, and visiting are all handled by Noble County Sheriff’s Office.

Clear information.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.
Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?
No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.
Does posting bond mean the person comes home?
Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.
What should I confirm before visiting?
The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.
What if I find something that needs correcting?
Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
