This is the jail, not the courthouse or the Ben West pretrial office. Personal mail goes to the P.O. Box below. Family lobby visits are currently unavailable.

Visiting & video

Remote video is available for eligible housing units. The Sheriff's current notice says family visits from the jail lobby are unavailable.

Remote family video

The current DDC page lists remote video every day, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.–9:20 p.m., for listed housing units (2A–2D, 3B–3C, 4A–4F). Third-floor medical housing is separately excluded. Confirm unit eligibility and the current registration flow before paying or traveling.

Do not travel for a lobby visit without confirmation

The Sheriff still displays an on-site schedule below its lobby-closure notice. Follow the closure notice and call DDC before making an on-site visit plan.

Providers and fees

DCSO directs phone accounts to ICSolutions at (888) 506-8407 and video registration to JailATM. The reviewed official sources do not publish a current DDC-specific dollar price table; use the provider's current checkout amount.

Phone calls & accounts

Phone credit is separate from commissary money.

Set up an ICSolutions account

Use ICSolutions online or call (888) 506-8407. Have the recipient's facility name and the name, address and designated telephone number for the person receiving calls ready.

DDC does not publish a current call-rate table. Review the account type, fees and final charge before adding credit.

Mail

Use the current OCA format; ordinary mail is scanned.

Address personal letters with the OCA number

DCSO says the OCA appears as CONTROL_NUMBER in official inmate-search results. Money orders must be mailed separately from inmate correspondence. Legal mail follows DCSO's attorney-verification process.

Cards, photographs and reading material

Mail is scanned for delivery on tablets and kiosks. Use ordinary letters or standard cards; glitter and other embellishments are rejected. The posted photo rule says “35mm” pictures only and bans nudity or pornography; ask DCSO about acceptable print specifications before ordering photos.

Do not enclose stamps, envelopes or other commissary supplies. Emergency packages and mailed publisher/bookstore reading material are not accepted. Legal correspondence is checked with the named attorney or firm.

Keep access to scanned letters after release

Released recipients have 30 days to download scanned correspondence using their mail-recovery PIN. The PIN is created while in custody; the case manager can help with changes.

Dinero y artículos

Deposit, phone and video services are separate systems.

Remote and telephone deposits

DCSO lists CorrectPay.com or JailATM.com for commissary deposits. Published telephone options are CorrectPay (855) 836-3364 and JailATM (636) 888-7004; DCSO says the account must first be set up online for telephone deposits.

Lobby kiosks

Cash/card deposit kiosks are in the public areas of DDC and the Correctional Development Center. A restriction on lobby family visits does not by itself explain kiosk-access hours; call before traveling solely to deposit money.

Postal money orders

Send a postal money order separately from ordinary correspondence, using the person's name and OCA number. Do not combine it with a letter.

Cash deposits at a retailer

CashPayToday provides registration and a deposit barcode for participating retailers. Confirm the specific location participates before traveling; a chain name alone does not establish service at every store.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
