The 2025 IDOC inspection records 909 adult beds and no juvenile detention. The public Video Visitation Center at 20 S. Chicago Street is a service site, not a second jail. The jail, court, juvenile center, state facilities and Sheriff headquarters are separate destinations. Use the Sheriff search first, then call ADF for a recent booking or mismatched result. Pace Joliet Transit Center is the verified downtown hub; a jail-door stop and accessible final path were not verified.

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county\'s warrant, or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking, and ask the bondsman what happens if there are, before you pay.
