Public roster

Mariposa County Daily Booking Report

Official Daily Booking Report (checked 2026-09-12): public data about persons arrested and booked into this facility in the last 24 hours (Gov. Code § 7923.610). PDF: mariposacounty.gov/DocumentCenter/View/97393/BOOKING-REPORT. Ignore Test Last, Test First rows. That PDF is not a full who-is-here list — call (209) 966-3616 to confirm the person is still here and to get the incarcerated-person number needed for Longview mail. The Adult Detention Facility page still shows a Who’s In Jail button to /2620/Incarcerated-Persons; that URL returned 404 on 2026-09-12 (Wayback last captured a searchable table on 2024-10-09). Do not use the 404. Jail411 does not host inmate names. CIRIS is CDCR (Mount Bullion Camp), not this jail. Type II facility; Captain Chris Ramirez; Custodial Lieutenant Linda Williams. Staff will not release court-date, medical, or movement information.

Before you leave home

Three things to confirm before the trip.

In-person visits are at 5379 Highway 49 N. Each incarcerated person may receive one hour of visiting per week, splittable into 15- or 30-minute blocks. Visiting starts on the hour. First come, first served. No contact visits. Call (209) 966-3616 the day you drive.

  1. 01Confirm this jail

Open the Daily Booking Report or call (209) 966-3616.

If the person is at Juvenile Hall (5091 Bullion Street) or a contracted youth hall, do not come here. If they are at Mount Bullion Camp, that is CDCR — use CIRIS. Sheriff HQ at 5099 Old Highway Road does not hold adult jail visiting.

  2. 02Match the housing block

    A Sunday 1–4 p.m.; B Saturday 1–4 p.m.; C Friday 1–4 p.m.; D Wednesday 1–4 p.m.; E Sunday 9–11 a.m.; F Saturday 9–11 a.m.

Official Visiting page (checked 2026-09-12). Mondays are Administrative Separation (staff sets the time). High-profile incarcerated persons must submit an approved visitor list. You need the housing block from the jail — the Daily Booking Report PDF does not print it.

  3. 03Arrive at 5379 Highway 49 N

Not 5099 Old Highway Road and not 5088 Bullion Street.

5099 Old Highway Road is Sheriff HQ. 5284 Highway 49 N is the Business Office (Monday–Thursday). 5088 Bullion Street is the Historic Courthouse. 5091 Bullion Street is Probation / Juvenile Hall. Bring a valid photo ID. Lobby hours 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Call (209) 966-3616 before you drive.

01 / Visiting

Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility visiting hours.

Official Visiting page (checked 2026-09-12): one-hour block of visiting per week, which may be split into 15- or 30-minute blocks for multiple visits. The exact schedule depends on housing and classification. Visiting starts on the hour only. Be prompt. Limited space — first come, first served. Contact visits are not allowed under any circumstances. People sentenced to prison may request a special visit outside the normal day from the jail captain or supervisor on duty. All visiting conversations except legal visits are subject to monitoring and recording. Call (209) 966-3616 for current visitation status before you drive. Lockdowns and facility needs cancel visits. Call (209) 966-3616 the day you drive. If the Daily Booking Report and the jail line do not show this jail, do not come here. Visitors (or children) who do not follow facility rules are ejected.

Money and commissary

How to send money to Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility.

The published deposit route is MyCarePack (commissary / care packs); lobby kiosk; (866) 345-1884. Confirm the person is still housed here and keep the booking number ready before depositing.

  1. 01

Official Commissary page (checked 2026-09-12): snacks, stamped envelopes, writing materials, hygiene once a week if funds are on the account and the person is not on disciplinary restriction. Deposit by 9:00 p.m. on the last ordering day (currently Monday) to be used that week. Orders are placed through the week and usually delivered Wednesday (holidays can shift this).

  2. 02

Indigent (under $2 on the account on commissary-slip day): soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, shave cream, pencil, and paper once per week. Everyone else buys hygiene on commissary.

  3. 03

Official Incarcerated Persons Accounts: deposits by lobby kiosk, mycarepack.com, or (866) 345-1884. You need Location: Mariposa County Jail, plus first and last name. No personal checks. No transfers between incarcerated persons. Release of remaining funds is by debit card; an emergency release of funds from the trust account requires a request form, a valid emergency reason, and Jail Commander approval — once only.

  4. 04

Accounts page also links Access Corrections kiosk-locations. Arrest cash not taken as evidence is placed on the books.

Release and property

Bail, property, and commissary pickup

01Bail

Search first, then cash or a licensed bond — Historic Courthouse is 5088 Bullion Street

Confirm the person is still here on the Daily Booking Report or (209) 966-3616. Adult Detention Facility page (checked 2026-09-12): staff will not recommend or refer bail-bond agents; a partial listing of local agents is on the Public Information page — Jail411 does not republish a bondsman directory. Historic Courthouse, 5088 Bullion Street, (209) 966-2005, offices 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Monday–Friday. Case portal: portal-camariposa.tylertech.cloud/Portal/. Posting a bond does not guarantee release if a probation, parole, or out-of-county hold applies. An ICE detainer alone is not a lawful California hold (Gov. Code § 7284.6). Probation pre-trial investigation and supervision can apply if the court releases someone before or after arraignment. Alternative sentencing after conviction (community service, Probation Works Program at the landfill, SCRAM, electronic monitoring) is Probation at 5091 Bullion Street, (209) 966-3612 — not this visitor lobby.

02Property

No clothing drop-offs — prescription medication in the original container only

Official Adult Detention Facility page: no personal items of any kind, including clothing, will be accepted at the facility except prescription medication in the original container. The same rule applies to people reporting for court-ordered commitments. A property-release window is not printed on the reviewed HTML. Call (209) 966-3616. Do not mail cash.

03After release

Trust funds on a debit card — call (209) 966-3616

Accounts page: remaining trust funds are released by debit card. Emergency release of funds while in custody requires Jail Commander approval and may be done only once. A family pickup window after release is not on the live Commissary HTML. Call (209) 966-3616.

After booking

Court, a lawyer, probation, and parole.

Court, counsel, and probation are separate from the jail. State parole is a different agency. This is the process a family actually has to walk—not a directory of private bondsmen or attorneys.

01 Historic Courthouse

5088 Bullion Street

Weekly calendar PDF: mariposa.courts.ca.gov/general-information/court-calendars. Case information portal after terms of use. Remote appearance requires prior approval (mariposa.courts.ca.gov/remote). Staff at the jail will not release court dates — use the court portal or (209) 966-2005. Official location (checked 2026-09-12): offices Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (effective October 1, 2021). Mail PO Box 28. Free parking all sides. Main entrance Bullion Street; ADA rear entrance Jones Street.

5088 Bullion Street is the courthouse — not jail visiting at 5379 Highway 49 N and not 5091 Bullion Street (Probation / Juvenile Hall).

(209) 966-2005

02 Appointed counsel

Ask the judge at 5088 Bullion Street

Ask the judge at the first Historic Courthouse appearance for appointed counsel if you cannot afford an attorney.

County staff directory (checked 2026-09-12) does not list a Public Defender department. Local Rules (Jan. 1, 2019) address appointment of counsel in juvenile dependency, not a county PD street office. Ask the judge at 5088 Bullion Street. Self-Help Center, 5092 Jones Street, (209) 742-5322, is closed until further notice and is family-law / SHARP — not criminal defense.

(209) 966-2005

03 County supervision

Probation is not parole

A probation hold can block release after bail. Official Pre-Trial Investigation & Supervision: people detained on new charges are assessed for monitoring if the court releases them before or after arraignment. Adult Probation at 5091 Bullion Street, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–noon and 1:00–5:00 p.m., fax (209) 742-5961. Chief Ryan Oliphant. Alternative sentencing: community service, Probation Works Program at the landfill, SCRAM, electronic monitoring / home detention.

Youth housing is the 96-hour Juvenile Hall at this same 5091 Bullion Street door, (209) 966-3612 — not this adult jail. Longer youth detention is Tuolumne, Madera, or Kern.

(209) 966-3612

04 State parole, not county

Ceres parole — 439 West 15th Street, Merced

CDCR Northern Region directory (updated 9/11/2026) lists Ceres at 439 West 15th Street, Merced, CA 95340, (209) 726-6513. No Mariposa city unit is listed. State parole is not Mariposa County Probation. Report to the office named in the release papers.

Clear information.
Clear boundaries.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
